What does personal liability insurance cover?
Personal injury, property damage and the financial loss arising from them that you or your family unintentionally cause to others, up to 50 million € flat per insured event. Also included are lost keys, borrowed and rented items, goodwill damage and shortfall cover, among others.
Are my children included?
Yes, family and child protection comes at no extra premium. Everyone registered in your household is included, children in their first course of education with no time limit, and a master's after the bachelor's counts too. Damage caused by children not yet legally liable is also included.
What does shortfall cover mean?
If someone harms you but has no liability insurance of their own and can't pay, your own policy steps in and settles the claim as if the responsible party were insured. It includes victim protection, so you're not left carrying a valid claim.
Isn't 5 million € of cover enough?
With a serious injury claim, the bill for lifelong pensions, loss of earnings and care can quickly run into double-digit millions. Higher sums insured cost barely more, but make the decisive difference when it counts. That's why Generali provides a flat 50 million € of cover.
